2013 Barolo

PRODUCT NUMBER: 773765

CASE CONFIGURATION: 12 x 750

LISTING:  OPEN

VARIETAL: Nebbiolo

REGION/APPELATION: Verduno, Piedmont, Italy

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14.8%

TASTING NOTES:

"Fratelli Alessandria's 2013 Barolo is fabulous. Scents of orange peel, cardamom, dried flowers, mint and dried cherries give the 2013 a decidedly exotic flavour profile that willingly gain in sweetness and perfume as the wine ages. Mid-weight structure gives the wine considerable appeal, but readers who can cellar the 2013 will be in for a treat. Alexandria's straight Barolo remains one of the most fairly priced wines in all of Piedmont. Don't miss it." Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2017, (v2013)

VARIETAL: Barbera

REGION/APPELATION: Verduno, Piedmont, Italy

ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13.3%

TASTING NOTES:

"Easygoing and informal in character, the 2017 Verduno Pelaverga Speziale would wash down perfectly with simple Italian dishes such as lasagna or gnocchi. This is an absolutely versatile and refreshing wine with a focused fruity spectrum (composed primarily of wild berries and herbs). The wine's natural acidity would pair with those hearty and cheesy dishes." -ML Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, 31st Aug 2018
